History - An Idea about Making Better Use of Energy

Comsys AB was founded in 1996 as a research and innovation company with the aim to develop methods and products for improved energy efficiency and productivity and to benefit the environment. The best ideas are usually so simple that they in fact are hard to discover. Peter Ström had such an idea regarding possibilities to save a lot of energy in machines and at the same time benefit the environment. This was back in 1996 when he in parallel with the university studies founded Comsys AB to realize his ideas about energy saving and power quality.In the beginning he was working on thyristor controlled designs. The key was to make them cost effective. It was then he realized that something more advanced was required to solve the problem entirely. Instead of using several filter banks to keep up with dynamic loads, a fully dynamic, cost-efficient and compact solution would solve a lot of problems. The idea of the fully dynamic ADF technology was born. |
